Hasan Zargar graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 2003 with a degree in Near Eastern Studies. He then traveled to Iran to study in the hawzah for nine years, which included his dars-e kharej study with Ayatollah Zanjani. He would return to the U.S. to pursue a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from UCLA. He is currently the resident scholar of Dar-e Zehra (sa) center in Cincinnati.
